And now for something completely different…a second session of the new “Photos in Wax” workshop at my studio on Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 10 am to 4 pm for $145. By combining encaustic with a photograph, you can add character to your photos and give them a special one-of-a-kind “hand colored” look. Even if you are new to encaustic, this will be a fun and creative workshop to try.
We will cover three different techniques: photos that have been printed and glued to a wood panel, photocopy transfers onto wax, and embedding photos printed on thin Japanese paper. Demonstrations, some group discussion, as well as individual work time and one-on-one time with the instructor will fill out the day.
As always, the equipment and most materials are provided. You will be asked to email in advance of the workshop one of your photos, as well as to bring with you several additional photos to use. More details will be provided in a separate email in advance of the workshop.
Space is limited, so register soon. The workshop will be a great opportunity for you to try something new!
Workshops are subject to cancellation because of insufficient enrollment or for other reasons. If a workshop is cancelled, you will have the option to receive a full refund or transfer your registration to another scheduled workshop.
